辩题集纳|2015北京辩论公开赛BDO辩题合集


12月4日-6日,第三届北京辩论公开赛(Beijing Debate Open)于中国石油大学(北京)顺利举行。BDO是石油大学创办的第一项常设于北京的民间辩论公开赛,本届BDO吸引了国内外72支参赛队,上百名裁判参与,是创造了BDO的最大规模。

以下是本届BDO的辩题合集:

Round 1
Info Slide: COP21 is the conference of the parties to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change. They are currently meeting in Paris.
Motion: This House Supports the passing of a legally binding agreement at COP21 where wealthy nations pay compensation to nations that are negatively affected by climate change

Round 2
Motion: This House Regrets the resurgence of Vatican Diplomacy

Round 3
Info Slide: An opt-out system is one where people are automatically enrolled in a program unless they actively and deliberately choose not to participate.
Motion: This House, as China, Would adopt an opt-out policy of placing senior citizens in publicly funded retirement homes.

Round 4
Info Slide: Click-bait is used to describe web content that is aimed at generating a high volume of page views. It relies on sensationalist headlines to attract click-throughs and to encourage forwarding of the material over online social networks.
Motion: This House Celebrates the rise of click-bait

Round 5
Motion: This House, as Feminist leaders in non-Western countries, Would reject any intervention from Western Feminists

Octo-Final
Motion: This House Believes That the Palestinian people should adopt the strategy of non-violent resistance in their decade-long struggle for liberation from Israeli oppression

Quarter-Final
Info Slide: In professional sports, a salary cap is an agreement or rule that places a limit on the amount of money that a team can spend on player salaries. The limit exists as a per-player limit or a total limit for the team’s roster, or both. A hard cap represents a maximum amount that may not be exceeded for any reason.
Motion: This House Would impose a hard salary cap for all professional sports clubs

Semi-Final
Motion: This House Believes That China should accept a significantly greater number of refugees from war-torn countries in exchange for their State Owned Enterprises being granted preferential development contracts once rebuilding begins

Grand-Final
Motion: A group of five cave explorers are trapped following a cave-in and face the risk of death from starvation.  They learn via intermittent radio contact that without food, they are likely to starve to death before they can be rescued. They decide that someone should be killed and eaten so that the others may survive. They decide who should be killed by throwing a pair of dice. One is chosen, as a result, but changes her mind about providing consent for her being the one slaughtered.
TH, as the other four explorers, would slaughter her anyways.
